Wednesday March 16 “After Work” Ride
Ok, the clocks have sprung forward and it is now time to start the “After Work” rides. This Wednesday March 16 at 4:45 PM Mike Boyle will be leading a 20 mile fairly flat ride from L-3 Communications on Westminster Drive, just off the “Golden Strip” in Loyalsock Township.
The ride heads east to the bike path then west to Maynard Street to cross the river. It then jumps on the South Williamsport bike path, and after a short distance on Route 654, follows the River Road loop through the cornfields and down along the river. The route then returns pretty much the same way back. It is relatively flat with a couple of long gradual bumps. If you are interested, or need more information contact michael.boyle@verizon.net or text the President at 570-279-1089. The ride should take less than 1.5 hours, way before sunset, but bring along your headlights just in case of flats. See map below for starting location and terrain. The pace should a typical club ride 13-15 MPH with little or not climbing.Route 654 is the busiest road we will ride on, but there are a few parallel side roads we will take to minimize duration along its length.
