Little Pine State Park to Liberty June 18,2016

The weather looks great for this weekend’s ride on Saturday starting at 9 AM at the swimming pavilion parking lot in Little Pine State Park. The Prez will be leading and wants to start early to beat the late afternoon higher temperatures. The course is basically and out and back course on back roads with one short stretch on 284. This set-up is ideal for a group who may not want to do the whole ride but a shorter distance, like  15 miles. We can all start together and ride the first section out of the park, all the way to the first turn around at Route 284. The rest of the group will continue up the long very gradual ride all the way into Liberty  for a break just outside the Blockhouse Cafe. The way back is usually a little faster, taking advantage of the gradual downhill grades. There is a short optional side trip to a covered bridge. The complete 45 mile ride should average in the 13 to 15 mph range.  It will be a no drop ride, and I will make sure that nobody gets lost. Since I am not sure of the cell phone coverage at the State park, let me know by email (mdhnatin@verizon.net) if you have questions, need directions,or to confirm you want to come along on the ride. You can also send me a text at 570-279-1089.
