Saturday October 15 Sugar Valley Ride 10AM 28 or 44 miles

The weather is supposed to be beautiful on Saturday, a perfect Fall day for one of my favorite Fall rides. Sugar Valley. I will be leading the normal 28 mile route leaving from the old Pit Stop/Kazkav Restaurant at 10 AM just outside of Loganton. I thought the later start time would be better to let it warm up a bit from overnight for the start, although the forecast calls for temperatures above 60 degrees in the PM. There is the optional add on leg of the “narrows” which is very pretty but increases the ride to 44 miles. It should be a nice 13 to 15 mph pace with stops at the church and the “narrows” intersection. The course is very gentle with only slight grades on the course. Let me know if you interested in going and/or need directions to Loganton (email mdhnatin@verizon.net or text 570-279-1089). I have included the ridewithgps.com link with map and cue sheet for the longer ride. This is also a very good ride for riders who want a shorter ride (the basic course is a loop with quite a few cross roads to shorten the ride). The last time we rode this course we stayed for lunch and the food was excellent.
