Friday July 7 2017 Lake Keuka Ride
Okay, time to plan a vacation day and join the First Lady and I for a day trip up to Lake Keuka for a nice relatively flat 44 mile ride around one of the Finger Lakes. Weekdays have much less traffic. We will leave Pennsdale at 8AM and it takes about 1.5 hours to get to Hammonsport at the southern tip of Lake Keuka. We will get on the bikes by 10 AM and it will take 3.5 to 4 hours to ride around the lake. There are plenty of spots to take photos and we usually stop for coffee at the halfway point. The east side of the lake was newly paved last year so it is mostly smooth sailing. We will stop for a bite to eat before the trip home and we should be back before dark.
