Pennsdale -Green Valley Ride Saturday April 4,2021 1PM
Come join the First Lady and I on the Pennsdale Green Valley Ride. I am trying to take maximum advantage of the sunshine tomorrow so we are starting the ride at 10AM. We will be meeting at the Pennsdale Fire Company parking. Just off the Pennsdale exit of route 180. Just turn towards Hughesville and in about 1 mile turn left just after the Wolf Run Veterinary Hospital. The Fire company is the large building on the left.
We will journey through Pennsdale and Hughesville but most of the ride is on back roads. Green Valley Road is a long and gentle uphill which connects to Beaver Lake Road. One very short and steep uphill will give us access to a great sweeping downhill back to Route 220. This is where the shorter course will take mostly flat roads back to the start. The longer course will turn right and proceed up to Picture Rocks where the group will travel up Route 864 and eventually return to the Fire hall using Quaker Church Road.
I will lead the short course if anyone wants that version. Please let me know if you are intersted in going or are running late. mdhnatin@verizon.net or 570-279-1089. This will be a no drop ride with average speeds in the 12 to 15 MPH. (faster on the downhills!) Here are the links to the two courses.

Don’t be late and check your tires for dry rot if your bike has been sitting on the tires all winter. Not sure if we will have time for lunch afterwards with all the holiday festivities. Temperatures should be in the low 50s at the end of the ride so dress accordingly.
