Saturday 7/23/2022 Neil Mutchler-Calvert-Slacks run Ride-37 miles 9AM

Looks Like we will have sunny and hot conditions for our Saturday Ride. We will be meeting at Neil Mutchler Park on Route 973 just outside of Ball Mills. There are outhouses at the start. We will take 973 for a short while before we transition to back roads. We will climb up Sugar Camp to Calvert and follow Rose Valley Road to Slacks Run Road. Slacks Run Road is one of the best downhill runs in the area, at least 4 miles down with gradual sweeping turns guarded by shade trees. Once we are down the hill, we will take Route 14 to Route 15 and a number of back roads all the way back to 973 and the park. There is a fair amount of climbing on this ride with most of it in the first half. Here is the link for the route and contour map:

Contact the Prez if you have questions mdhnatin@verizon.net or by text 570-279-1089.

We will be starting promptly at 9AM so we miss most of the heat in the afternoon. Afterwards we may check out the Crippled Bear for food and beverages.
