Old Stone Tavern Mixed Surface Ride

You do not want to miss this ride! Al will be leading this ride from the Old Stone Tavern in Bear Gap. It is a 30 mile course with mixed surfaces. Al says that he rides it on his Domane with 28 mm tires so a road bike will be fine. I will probably be riding my gravel ride. The course he designed does include the 4 mile downhill from the Big Dan’s BBQ Ride but there is no getting around the long (CAT3/4) climb up Route 42. Be prepared. But the climb enables us to finish the route with the nice 7 mile downhill through the Weiser State Forest pass the dams and reservoir. We end up at the Tavern with Mary preparing a fresh cooked gourmet dinner.
Here is the tentative route but Al may make some tweaks.
You will need to notify the Prez at mdhnatin@verizon.net or 657-749-7946 (or Al) that you want to ride and if you want to have dinner. This will give time for Mary to be prepared.
